Certified Esthetician
Objective
The objective of the Esthetician position is to provide outstanding spa treatments and service to our spa guests and retail our spa merchandise.
Company History
Silhouette Beauty + Medi Spa, formerly Silhouette Beauty Spa, is a full service day and medi spa downtown Fenelon Falls, the Jewel of the Kawarthas. We pride ourselves in providing our clients with the best relaxation experience in a safe, clean and friendly atmosphere. Jess, the new owner, recently took over operation at the end of September. Jess is a Registered Nurse with a background in emergency nursing, and has completed certifications in cosmetic nursing and injectables. She is certified in medical esthetics, including injections of neuromodulators (botox, disport, etc) and dermal fillers. Jess is very excited about this undertaking and is currently working to expand and enhance the experience that is offered at Silhouette Beauty + Medi Spa.
PURPOSE OF POSITION
We will be hiring for a part time position for with the possibility of permanent employment due to performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- To provide professional, confidential service and treatments to our Spa clients (main focus on manicures/pedicures and waxing).
- To sell Spa products including merchandise and treatments.
- To assist with several functions throughout the Spa including reception, telephone, administration, merchandising including receiving, pricing, and stocking of product.
- To assist in stocking of supplies and folding of linens.
- To assist and monitor cleanliness of treatment rooms, lounges and reception.
- To control and monitor the use of all product.
- To control and monitor the use of all instruments and equipment.
- To report any malfunctioning equipment, shortage of product, instruments and supplies.
- To assist in the control of guest items including robes, sandals, food and beverage wares.
- To notify Spa management of any client complaint or concern.
- To attend all Spa staff meetings and training sessions.
- To provide a strong team spirit and positive morale, offer suggestions and ideas.
- To assist with local events we sponsor.
- Other duties as directed by the Spa Director or Supervisors.
SOCIAL ENVIRONMENT
- Works with other industry professionals (estheticians, RMTs, Nurse)
- Works with Spa Supervisor and Manager
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Weekend work is mandatory (Saturdays 9am-4pm)
- Sitting
- Some lifting
- Some bending
- Full time 4-5 shifts/week
- Part time 2-3 shifts/week
- Shift length 5-10 hours
