Jess is the owner and director of Silspa. She began Silspa when she purchased the previous business, of a beauty salon, in September 2018 with the vision to expand and grow into Silspa, a beauty and medical aesthetic spa.
Jess is a Registered Nurse with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing (2007). She became a cosmetic nurse specializing in cosmetic injections in May 2018 when she graduated the Medical Esthetics Program for Nurses (MEPN) from Centennial College. Since then she has taken numerous courses, including cadaver labs, introduction to toxins and fillers, skincare courses, and her advanced injections course, to get to where she is now in her career at the spa.
From 2018 to present, Jess has expanded the salon to become a full on beauty and medical aesthetics spa that now offers an array of treatment options to suite each individual. She has opened up an infrared yoga studio that offers classes 5 days a week. She has opened a coffee and plant bar at the front entrance to the spa, that offers beautiful house plants, as well as delicious coffee, beverages and treats, all sourced locally. Her next vision is coming together as we speak, and in late 2022 she will expand the business physically to allow more space for treatment rooms, offices and more.
Jess loves working alongside creative and fun individuals, she loves cosmetic nursing, and she loves teaching yoga under the infrared heat.
When she isn’t at the spa, she is busy at home with her husband and four boys or she is traveling with them to explore different culture and beautiful places.
Emma started her journey into nursing at the University of Western Ontario. Once she graduated with her BScN she came back to her hometown to work in the ICU at PRHC and the ED at the Ross, where she and Jess first met.
Emma has continued to work in the ICU for 13 years while expanding her knowledge in the PACU and teaching at Trent and Fleming in the Nursing programs. Emma has always had an interest in Cosmetic Nursing and finally was able to take advantage of training opportunities in 2021. Shortly after this she joined the SilSpa family. Emma is committed to learning and providing the highest level of care for all treatments.
When Emma is not working she can be found paddling on the lake, enjoying the outdoors or playing with her two little boys.
Emma is excited to continue learning and growing at Silspa to help you meet all your beauty goals.
